Hi all. I guess this is the section where I introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me. So here it goes…
My name is Erin, the author of this blog. I am a new mom to a beautiful baby girl and a step mom to a handsome young man. Nothing brings me more joy then being able to be a mom to these two. My daughter is so lucky to have such a caring older brother. Although they do have a big age difference, he is so in love with her and has been such a huge help with her. He DID NOT want a little sister in the beginning. He didn’t even want a sibling at first. When we called him from the hospital to let him know it was a girl, he was less than thrilled. When we got home with her, it took all but just a few minutes for him to fall for her.
I love summer, diy projects, cooking, hiking and my family. I am constantly on Pinterest trying to find new projects (my boyfriend hates that) or new recipes. I keep him pretty busy with my list of diy finds that I need him for. love cooking and baking which is not always so good for our diets. Oh well.
I am a dog mom to two crazy pups. A German Shepard and a Black Lab. Oh, and then there is the crazy cat. Almost forgot him! The German Shepard is my baby and I had her before I met my boyfriend. The Black Lab is his. We both came as package deals and now they are the best of friends! Then there is the cat. PJ, he is the ruler of the house.
My crazy family and I live in Vermont. Ya know, that state that in the middle of New York and New Hampshire. I lived in Florida for a brief period and when I told people where I was from the most common response was, “What state is that in?”. Obviously, I wasn’t cut out for city life and moved back to my roots. I couldn’t stand to be away from my family. I think it was a good experience, but it was just so not for me.
I am a girlfriend to my handsome boyfriend, Jason. He puts up with my antics and craziness. He is a GOOD man. He really is my better half. He pushes me to reach my goals and makes me a better woman. We share values and the same interests. I think that makes our relationship so strong.
I’m on year ten as a dental assistant. I absolutely LOVE my job. I love being able to build relationships with my patients and even meeting new ones. From cosmetic to getting people out of pain. I love all aspects of it. I didn’t think when I started assisting it would be a career that I would stay with forever but, here we are!
My family and I love being outdoors. We are a very active family. Although winter and the cold isn’t my absolute favorite, we have outdoor activities all year round that we love. Hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, biking, anything to keep us active and moving. Thankfully, we have a great piece of property to be able to roam around on. We are truly lucky to be able to have such beauty here in Vermont, too.
